 The long white sandy beach is what many think of when they picture paradise. This is a perfect spot for snorkeling, swimming, kayaking and more. There are also a number of restaurants and shops on and close to the beach. Akumal is Mayan for "Place of the Turtles" and you can find them swimming in these calm waters all year round. However, remember they are protected so please don't approach them. |
